| I would like to thank everyone who participated in race 2 of the series. I would also like to thank everyone who helped set and pack up prior to after the race, our trusty time keepers and our photographer of the day.

| A great turn out last Friday as members enthusistically embraced the 2nd race in the 4 race series. 3 doubles entered as well creating a whole new category to compete in. Weather was cool and ideal. We need a few more ladies to enter to complete the mosiac. The results in this 4 race social series count in the 2009 club championships competition. Please note those paddlers who are already streaking along below the radar !! |

| DSKC Friday time trials are back on. The format is a handicap system where each paddler gets a start time with the objective of everyone crossing the line at around the 60min mark. Makes for some good chasing. Special thanks to Tammy for doing the race timings. |

| Another successful Squall. This time we had exciting conditions with an average swell of 1.2m out there. Rob Klok and Andrew Dunstan in singles, lead the field of almost all doubles with Pete & Christie right on their tail. Well done to everyone! Click on "Dubai Squall - Race 3" for your times. |

| Another cracker with the old record being broken by Peter and Chris setting a cracking pace over a course shortened by 300m. They managed to set a blistering average speed of 13.04km/h - YOU HAVE YOUR TARGET.
There were other cracking performances from Rob Klok and the Clephane brothers who all managed higher avergae speeds than the previous record. Beware, Boyan will be after you all with vengance!!! :-)
Lots of new faces, a few missing (hope the snow was good Linda and Wayne) and a few with paltry excuses of being sick, even if they got down there.
Also we hit 30 paddlers in the race and hope to add an extra 10 by next month. SPREAD THE WORD! |

| An awesome morning, paddling in towards the Marina accompanied by a pod of dolphins was really quite special. It looks like the Dubai Paddling School pays off with Pete and Boyan both registering sub 50mins. Boyan FOR A CHANGE !!! pushed all the way by the D'Aubrey brothers......only a second between them .....see you next month. Wayno |
